Nick Kaijaks, the proprietor of Pinxit Design, has been designing for
commercial print since 1993. Here, however is just a selection of our
poster designs for the University of Warwick Music Centre printed since
October 1998.

A design using early type, woodcut ornaments
and archaic language to give a traditional 18th Century letterpress feel.
An engraving of Handel is inlaid in a tint of gold ink as an elegant backdrop. |
 |
A photomontage seamlessly places a grand piano
in a brightly sunlit, yet secluded woodland setting. Perfect scene setting
for a pastoral programme. |
 |
Bold contemporary typography, modern bright yet smooth solid colours, strong
abstraction of elements of a piano trio (a piano in plan view, a 'cello
f-hole and a violin bridge) give an up-to-date feel to this design. |
 |
A première performance of a piece entitled
Postcards from Europe gave the inspiration for this full-colour
design. |
 |
Stock photography and an elegant script-like
type are blended with an effective combination of two colours which give
a striking yet moody feel to the composition. |
 |
This two-colour design uses contemporary typography
and the haunting eyes of Berlioz to draw you past the velvet backdrop. |
