I am a graduate of the University of Warwick, having a 2:1 in History, specialising in England in the age of Caxton, and in Venice and Florence in the mediæval and renaissance. As part of the final year of my degree, I spent three months living in Venice (well, actually on the Lido di Venezia).
For eight years I have worked for a major UK examinations board. I am a professional officer, primarily responsible for a portfolio of key and basic skills qualifications.I'm also a keen musician, occasionally playing piano and violin, and singing (mezzo-)soprano in the Warwick Phoenix Singers. I used to be a member of the Chorus, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra in the University of Warwick Music Centre. My main instrument though is the recorder, which I play to performance standard. I've bought my last two recorders from the Early Music Shop.
